MS doesn’t just mean Multiple Sclerosis…

I have a Google Alert set up to return mentions of “MS” in on-line postings, and got this in my mail box this mornng. Not quite what I had in mind, but I wondered how lonely this woman must have felt, standing there by herself.

And I’m not sure if this is offensive, or just silly.

  1. You’ve heard this one, right?

The residents of Silicon Valley are more confused than usual after a billboard campaign by the National Multiple Sclerosis Society of America
used this line in an ad slogan.

“MS: It’s not a software company.”

Seasoned IT professionals will have no trouble telling the two MS’s apart:

One is a debilitating and surprisingly widespread affliction that renders the sufferer barely able to perform the simplest task.

    The other is a disease.
