on the phones

self, haugh road, glasgow
that’s me in the mirror in the flat we stayed at in glasgow. we were there for a week, visiting my son who goes to university there. a fun trip, but it was difficult having to do so much walking. i had a wheelchair (not a kind i could drive myself, which was also a drag, having to be dependent on others to push me) but some of the places we went to were cobbled and not wheelchair accessible. add to that not sleeping well in a strange bed, and i was pretty wrecked.
but a nice layover in iceland, a short trip to the blue lagoon spa:
blue lagoon, iceland
weird lava landscape and blue hot springs water.
i’m in my new job, on the phones, and while it is far easier than i expected, it is also boring and dull, and i don’t think will last. constantly looking for something better.

  1. I can relate to the strange bed situation. Thats always the thing that trashes me the most when I travel. Iceland! Wow, I’m jealous. Thats on my list of places to go to one day. 🙂

  2. I am envious too! Just the other night I was online looking at the Outer Hebrides where my ancestry lies. Wondering if I could talk my siblings into a trek into the past! Sorry that now that you find your new position easy, you have become bored.
