the road less taken

the road less taken
2 feet of snow wednesday night and thursday! no school yesterday, and our plow guy didn’t make it up the hill until 3, so i was home for the day. even tho it is distressingly late in the year for snow (not unheard of to have snow on easter, tho) it is beautiful, and having a day off was nice (even tho it means loss of a day’s pay). still, i hope it melts soon.

today is my daughter’s 16th birthday. it is a day that, not too many years ago, we were not sure she’d see. (she had a heart transplant 7 years ago.) every day with her is a bonus, and reaching milestones like 16 are especially special. now we put her behind the wheel of the car, and take on a whole new set of worries. but, given the circumstances, worries i’m very happy to have.

so here’s wishes for a warm (snow-melting!) weekend, and happy easter to you all.

  1. It is a good thing that you keep the snow shovel out all year:)

Happy 16th Birthday to your daughter!
