the euler circuit has become an important part of my life. it means planning our the route you will be taking to be the most efficient. an example – i have several stops to make in a trip around the house (dropping items off in the laundry room, gathering the vacuum cleaner from the garage, picking up some dishes from the living room and taking them to the kitchen), and i try to plan the most efficient route to accomplish these tasks, a route that doesn’t cross itself or reverse back upon itself. i’m not sure if i’m explaining it very well – i used to think it was called “oiler’s circuit” – and had something to do with how an engineer designed the oil flow in an engine.
anyhow, i find that my life has become a series of euler circuits – making the most efficient use of the fewest steps, so i don’t have to take as many of them.
