Comedian Tests Fast-Food Drive-Thru With Wheelchair

Looking for a little adventure, testing some limits, and giving a go to the old Candid Camera mind-set, comedian Shannon DeVido decided to take her show on the road by visiting the drive-up window of a few fast-food restaurants in her wheelchair. OK, so it’s not skydiving or bungie jumping, but a girl’s gotta have some fun.

Untitled-1DeVido, an accomplished actor, singer and comedian, has been in a wheelchair her whole life. “I figured out at a young age that walking is totally overrated. But really, if I’m going to be stared at anyway, why not be doing something awesome?” Although McD’s and B. King were not terribly interested in her mode of transport, DeVido has plans to continue pushing the boundaries on the misconceptions of disablility. Next up? Maybe pole-dancing class or roller derby, with the goal of taking her show to The Daily Show. For now, you can see her “Stare at Sharon” videos on You Tube.
